A young German officer is driven by the need to live up to the standards of his Father, a high-ranking Nazi official.  The young officer’s loyalty to his Father and country will soon be tested when he is transferred along with his new wife to the concentration camp Dachau during the last months of WW II.  Unaware of the atrocities taking place at the camp the young wife is happy just to have her husband come home every night.

The officer never speaks of his duties at the camp until his wife shows up one day at the gate with a prepared lunch for her loving husband.  There she sees the horror first hand as she looks across the yard of death and discovers her Jewish grandmother standing in a line among the living dead.
